Cheers to Boston!

Congrats to the Red Sox and their fans! The Curse is dead - long live the Uncurse! It's tough enough to win 8 straight games in the regular season, but to do it in the postseason is awesome, especially since they were within 3 outs of elimination in the ACLS. WTG!

If you've been thinking about trying the low-carb Total cereal, one word for you - DON"T. It tastes like soggy cardboard. Blech.

I've been remiss in mentioning this - bad me. We often hear about the bad stuff people do but we often neglect to mention the good. My fantastic friend Lori is a one-on-one teacher's aide for an autistic child. I've never been around anyone with autism, but I understand it can be very difficult and would try the patience of Job. Lori and her family love to go camping and last week during the kids' fall break from school they set off on a family camping trip. Lori did the nicest thing -- she asked her special needs child from school to go with them! He came for one day and spent the night and went home the next, but she said he thoroughly enjoyed it. She said he had never gotten to do anything like that before. KUDOS TO LORI!!!
