For our 31st anniversary, the hubs and I did like Barry Manilow said - we spent a Weekend in New England.
Our first stop - Plymouth, MA

The harbor at Plymouth, MA

A pretty B&B that faces the harbor

The Rock - the original, not the wrestler :-)

A replica of the Mayflower

The deck where 102 Pilgrims lived for 9 weeks

We then drove out to Cape Cod. Our first stop there was Captain Parker's Pub, a restaurant featured on the
Food Network show $40 a Day. The food was YUMMMMMMM! After that we drove out to Nauset Beach.

It was a great day for kite flying

Moosey of Massachusetts

We were supposed to have a mid-size car, but Thrifty decided we needed a mini-van instead!

On to Mystic, CT!

Anniversary dinner at the Daniel Packer Inne
Things are looking really ducky!

Strolling through the shops at Olde Mistic Village

At first we didn't know what kind of duck this was, but then we decided
it was a malentistic mallard duck

We went to the local Chowder Festival at the Mystic Seaport Museum

Captain John at the helm!

One of the buildings housed mastheads of actual ships.
This one is called "Sisters"

Maple trees changing into their Fall clothing

This cider mill was actually in the middle of a residential
neighborhood. The day we went there were cars and motorcycles parked
all up and down the street and a band was playing in the front yard!

Abbotts Lobster in the Rough
This place was shown on Bobby Flay's Food Nation.
We thought the food was YUCK.

It really does exist! Since we were still hungry after
we left Abbotts, we stopped by for a slice of pizza
Very good!!
